Real Wedding: Adler Planetarium with Courtney & Jonathon

Okay, so it goes like this. Courtney and Jonathan met at a bar. They had a connection, so they exchanged info and started dating. But then Courtney ghosts Jonathan. Didn’t see that one coming, did you?

But true love wins in the end, because they re-connected, started dating again, and celebrated their gorgeous wedding at Chicago’s Adler Planetarium with a lot of laughs and happy tears (and more than one mention of that whole ghosting incident). Two RMP team members, JaNae and Vanessa, were the photographers for Courtney and Jonathan’s wedding day. You read that right! Did you realize we have two additional team members that are available to photograph your day, and not just me? #TeamworkMakesTheDreamwork (especially after all the rescheduling of 2020, lemme tell ya!). These two wonderful photographers were with the couple all day, from getting ready to dancing under the stars at the Adler Planetarium.

Adler Planetarium

Like their love story, Courtney & Jonathon’s wedding day threw in something unexpected, but JaNae and Vanessa came with backup plans to capture gorgeous photos (we always have backup plans. After all, the Midwest is notoriously fickle when it comes to the weather.) Rain all day meant they had to pivot to an indoor ceremony. Yet with the gorgeous, light-filled event space at the Adler, their ceremony and reception glowed with candlelight and an illuminated downtown skyline.

Vanessa and JaNae have been working on team RMP for over 5 years now, and thanks to them, we were able to easily pivot and change plans alongside our couples. That flexibility has been invaluable for our couples, especially throughout 2020 and 2021. While it may not be me pushing the shutter button, I know our couples are still receiving an incredible experience with either of these two ladies. All three of us are focused on making sure everyone is comfortable in order to bring out authentic personalities and candid moments. Not to mention, they’re redheads too ;-)
