Featured: Anna & Ben’s Chicago Winter wedding on Carats & Cake
This gorgeous wedding day being featured on Carats & Cake is exactly the boost needed after finishing the strangest wedding “season” (if we can call it that?) I’ve ever experienced in 10 years. Being able to relive all of the incredible emotions and hugs from Anna & Ben’s perfect Chicago winter wedding day amidst a winter without any packed dance floors has me anxiously anticipating the post-COVID life I knew we are all yearning for. But for now, stay safe, wear a mask, and enjoy a trip down memory lane with me…
Warning: Not all ring bearers will bring the same level of enthusiasm to getting ready :)
Chicago winter wedding tip: When selecting your getting ready hotel, be sure you love the aesthetic of their spaces as much as you love the decor for your own wedding day. It’s always the first option for indoor pictures!
The textures of this orchid bouquet paired with the textures of Anna’s Hayley Paige gown was just sheer perfection.
Get yourself a planner (and designer) who makes you react like THIS when you see your ceremony space for the first time. All kudos to Jamie Boton Inc.
If I could only show you 3 images from this wedding, it would be these 3 from walking down the aisle… Also Chicago winter wedding tip #2 (or actually, really ANY wedding tip): Think through the OPPOSITE end of your aisle as much as you think through the end for your ceremony. This lush, simple backdrop hiding the hotel doors keep your attention on the sweet moments with Anna’s parents and I swoon over it every single time.
TFW when dad is just as excited to see your winter wedding reception space for the first time as you are.
Wedding pro tip #3: Always say yes to a custom dance floor.
I adore these moms.
