Winter Engagement - Jessie & Travis

There is nothing more flattering than for a family to call you twice. To have enjoyed their experience so much that they give you this amazing responsibility yet again, is what I consider to be #SquadGoals. After documenting Andrea & Ben's sweet day almost 3 years ago, I was thrilled to hear from Jessie, Ben's sister, about Travis' sweet proposal. I can not wait to join everyone once again for a wonderful celebration of even more wonderful people this August at Heritage Prairie!Jessie & Travis make winter engagement sessions look easy with all of their sweet cuddles. And you know I never turn down the option to bring along your fur babies! The best thing to do for your engagement session is something the two of you love to do together, which is exactly why Jessie & Travis chose to spend their time having fun with their pup Thalia and simply enjoying a walk together. Between deployments and years of long distance, these two have learned that the best things in life are often the simplest. It's clear that no matter what they are doing, as long as they are together, life is good.Winter-Engagement-Photos-Rebecca-Marie-Photography_0006 Winter-Engagement-Photos-Rebecca-Marie-Photography_0011 Winter-Engagement-Photos-Rebecca-Marie-Photography_0012 Winter-Engagement-Photos-Rebecca-Marie-Photography_0002 Winter-Engagement-Photos-Rebecca-Marie-Photography_0003 Winter-Engagement-Photos-Rebecca-Marie-Photography_0013 Winter-Engagement-Photos-Rebecca-Marie-Photography_0017Confession: I think I might actually love winter engagement sessions. Now don't let me fool you. I want warm weather alllllll day and you know I've called every single couple who has ever scheduled a winter engagement session the morning of their session. When you realize just how truly cold it's going to be, I want to make sure they are still up for it! But there is just something so soft and romantic about the light in the winter. The barren trees create these beautiful textures in the background and aren't nearly as distracting as full-fledged leaves. It's a minimalist approach I suppose. Not to mention, having the Chicago Botanic Gardens all to yourself isn't too shabby...Winter-Engagement-Photos-Rebecca-Marie-Photography_0016 Winter-Engagement-Photos-Rebecca-Marie-Photography_0004 Winter-Engagement-Photos-Rebecca-Marie-Photography_0007 Winter-Engagement-Photos-Rebecca-Marie-Photography_0014 Winter-Engagement-Photos-Rebecca-Marie-Photography_0008 Winter-Engagement-Photos-Rebecca-Marie-Photography_0015 Winter-Engagement-Photos-Rebecca-Marie-Photography_0009 Winter-Engagement-Photos-Rebecca-Marie-Photography_0010
